Peter Clark
Peter Clark was Deputy Director of Canterbury Archaeological Trust, and Scientific Director of the Dover Bronze Age Boat Project. Peter was actively involved in archaeology for over forty years, working on sites of all periods in England, Scotland, Belgium, France, Italy and the near East. He was one of the excavators of the boat when it was discovered in roadworks in 1991 and led the team that painstakingly reassembled it on a purpose-built cradle where it still sits in Dover Museum. He researched, wrote and edited several important publications about the boat, and was the instigator and Co-Director of the International ‘Boat 1550 BC’ Project between 2011 and 2014.
